Saw this stool at an East Harlem bakery (Savoy) and had to snap a photo. It’s a wooden crate with steel reinforcements that was turned upside down to serve as a stool seat. Genius! A crate-turned-seat with a natural cottage chic aesthetic.
I discovered a charming little stamp shop in the East Village called Casey’s Rubber Stamps. So neat that a lovable place like this has survived and can still thrive in Manhattan. On Sunday, we attended this year’s Food Experiment championships at the Brooklyn Brewery, an annual competition to crown the best amateur chef in the nation.
