little did suz know, i DID watch the VP debates from london! …albeit half asleep. woke up randomly at 2:30am UK time, and in spite of my sleepy stupor, couldn’t fight the temptation to flip on BBC and catch a glimpse of the train wreck. a personal fave of mine was the good governor’s evasion of the “nuke-you-ler” trigger question. and can we stop using the word ‘maverick’ already, argh. we get it, this “tee-icket” is a “teeeeem of mee-avericks.” calling oneself a maverick is like calling yourself punk. it automatically makes you the opposite of one…

so london’s been fun. visited buckingham palace today and took a double decker bus tour around the city couple days ago.

it’s been a little disappointing on the grub side… i did nibble on a bit of pig’s blood this morning, it looked like a black pancake with little lumps in it. not sightly, but the taste had some redeeming qualities. i was embarrassed to snap a photo of the little beast with its proud Maker standing directly behind the counter, but i’ll try to be stealthier tomorrow morning. onto brussels tomorrow morn… hopefully the moules, frites and waffles don’t disappoint!

a shot snapped at dusk, from my seat on the double decker…

stay tuned for more mousybabe tales from across the Atlantic…
